Avonmore. a private tertiary trainer, is interested in providing formal Linux training.

This might be in a variety of formats: two that have been suggested in the past are:

• An evening class, for two nights per week, over ten weeks. This might start with the Linux desktop, then move into Linux servers if the participants wished.
• An intensive "boot camp" for Windows network administrators, who need to get up to speed with Linux servers. This would be perhaps 6 hours per day, for a week.

Either of these could be targeted at the Linux+ (Comptia) or LPI (Linux Professional Institute) certifications, if that is what participants wished.

Avonmore's training is famous for its practical approach, and small class sizes. Avonmore is centrally located at 202 Cashel Street Christchurch, just west of Manchester Street.
